For weeks I have been working on an album for convention, roommate gifts, submission project calls, workshop projects and a few gifts in between. When I came in my craft room I sat down with no project in mind-It was nice. I decided to make a wedding gift for a blogging friend. (I will show that in a few days).

Double Folded Water Color card

I'm late posting today, because I lunch with friends, so we could plan some details for our trip to Florida. Disney Here we Come!!
This card is what I call a double folded card. When it's flat the baby covers the words. I used the water color brush with inks to color in the image, along with some chalks for highlights. It's on my list to make some more. That list grows more and more each day and my accomplishments gets shorter and shorter!

Card Sketch & a little lion

Sorry for the lack of post this week, I wasn't feeling that well. I was stung by some bees, but I am back to myself today!! On Friday I came across a really neat blog, some of you may already know about it, but it's new to me. It's called Card positioning systems or CPS, a fancy term for sketch. Since I have always been a big fan of the Joy of Card Making from Papercrafts. This is great, because there is a new sketch every week. So here is the sketch from last week and one of the cards I made. If you use this, or you want to give it a try, post a commit with a link to your card.

Envelope gift card holders and box(plus template)

This is an upcoming class/workshop. I know that I have been using gift cards a lot these days for birthdays. I found a really cute idea on Andrea Walford's blog for turning invitation envelopes into gift card holders. **Here is a link directly to Andrea's envelope Idea.**I created this cute little box to hold 6 of the gift card holders.

You should be able to click on this template for a larger view. If you would like a copy you can email me at kabrown63@hotmail.com and I will send it to you.

Happy Birthday cupcake card

I don't own many stamps that are not CTMH, maybe about 5 or 6. But I just love this non-CTMH cupcake stamp. It is so fun to mix and match the icing with the bottom part, and it's full of cute tiny sayings.

Pesky little bird

This little guy(or it I think it might be female?) is driving me crazy!! It's sitting on my red hot poker plucking all the petals off!!!
That might be ok if the bird was eating them, or feeding them to babies, but it's not. He just keeps spiting them out, there is a pile on the ground. I think he might be doing it just to taunt me!!
